Who are The Foothills Kinettes?

Kin Canada is a Canadian Service Organization with a focus on serving the communities in which the clubs operate while embracing fellowship, building skills, planning events, attending conferences, and having fun. We strive to create a positive atmosphere within our clubs with a goal to ensuring every member or visitor feels valued and welcomed.

The Foothills Kinettes evolved from The Kinette Club of High River in the summer of 2017 to reflect the various communities that our members call home, as well as the projects we are involved in beyond High River.

We work on various projects for which we can always use volunteers! Our annual Ladies Night Out in the spring is always a hit.  Our first Egg My Yard event for Easter 2022, where we hid plastic treat-filled eggs in the yards of families who responded, brought out non-member volunteers who just wanted to join in the fun!

Our biggest project to date has been the construction of the Foothills Kinettes Water Tower Park in High River.  Click here for the Facebook Page link.

Local organizations we have supported and worked with recently include Food for Thought, Boys & Girls Clubs, Avenue of Trees,  Magic of Christmas, Victims Services, Camp Silverland Society (Scouts & Guides), Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army Food Bank, Room-in-a-Box (a post-flood initiative), Rowan House, Kidsport, Foothills Hospice, and many others.

Kin has a province-wide partnership with STARS Air Ambulance, and national partnerships with Cystic Fibrosis and Canadian Blood Services.

If you are interested in volunteering for any of our projects, please contact us – you don’t need to be a member to give us a hand!
